Certificate IV in Aged Care Work
Conducted by qualified PHCAA Nurse Educators!


We are recruiting individuals who are interested in completing a Certificate IV Diploma in Aged Care Work. Through Astute Training, qualified PHCAA Nurse Educators will be conducting the classes for the course. With an organised and convenient timetable you can fast-track your Certificate IV and advance your qualifications in this field.

Course Summary:
Workers in these occupational groups work in residential facilities within defined organisational guidelines and service plans. These workers carry out activites related to the maintenance of an individual's wellbeing through personal care and/or other activities of living. These workers may provide services to individuals with complex needs and/or work with groups of older people. Work may include training and support to promote independence and community participation. This may be provided as part of activities and programs in a variety of settings including residential and centre-based programs. These workers report to service managers and liase with professionals and other service providers. Workers may be required to supervise and/or co-ordinate a limited number of other workers.

Occupational names may include:
- Day Activity Worker
- Support Worker
- Carer
- Care Service Employees
- Personal Care Assistant

Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites to enrolling in this course.Relevant work experience, or previous background study in this area or a related field (including overseas study) is an advantage.

Days of attendance: Every Thursday
Time: 5pm - 8pm
Duration of Course: 6 months
Program of Study: 14 Units are selected for this qualification: 11 compulsory units, and 3 electives.

Deposit: $250 (payable before commencement)
Payment Options: $100 per week (until paid in full)
$200 per fortnight (until paid in full)
$400 per month (until paid in full)
You may select the plan that best suits you. If the couse is paid in full at the time of commencement, a discount of 10% will apply.
