To attain professional recognition and promote the personal growth and development of its members.

To provide assistance and guidance to newly arrived health care migrants and professionals, in order to facilitate their smooth transition to the Australian health care system.

To provide educational training programs, seminars and other health care information to members in order to update them with the latest medical and health care practices.

To foster closer cooperation and understanding amongst health care workers in Australia and overseas by liaising with other health care organisations worldwide.

To provide positive influence in the government decision making process, on issues which directly affect health care workers and professionals.
